There are some no-interest schemes currently in place that may help if you are in a position to install district heating.
Energy Savings Trust - Home Energy Scotland Renewables Loan Scheme
Interest free loans for up to 100% of costs, with an upper limit of £5,000, from the Scottish Government for installations of renewable electricity and heat technologies and connections to renewably-fired district heating schemes. Further information can be found here.
